Champion of Caldera could return to Warzone

With Warzone Recharged Season 4 kicking off just days away, the developers have opened up about their desire to try new versions of the unexpectedly successful Caldera Champion limited-time mode.

In the eyes of players, Caldera’s Champion mode was by far one of the most dynamic limited-time modes in Warzone. With a bigger lobby and an ever-closing circle, this game mode has given Caldera a second wind.

Champion of Caldera was a delight for players who bet on an aggressive playstyle, but also for those who were sick and tired of campers continually poisoning the map. So much so that the mode has received very positive feedback, with most players asking for it to return regularly to Warzone.

Caldera Champion back on Warzone with a new recipe?

Amid speculation that Champion of Caldera is coming back soon, YouTuber Immortal has hinted that it’s possible the mode will move away from the solitary experience it originally offered.

“They said that in the future they could potentially consider bringing Champion back from Caldera outside of solos”said the content creator. “So a Caldera Champion, for Duos, Trios and Quads, where we have the same set of rules.”

A change of this magnitude could only take an already chaotic mode to the next level.

150 players in a single lobby is hard enough for even the most seasoned of players to manage, but adding coordinated teams to the mix could be a complete game-changer.

For now, it’s unclear if this will actually happen, but given the success of this limited-time mode, there’s no doubt that it will eventually return to the battle royale, remains to be seen what will be. The game’s rules !
