Change official – Fix! Ramalho turns his back on Salzburg

The “Krone” had reported on it in detail, now it is official: Audience favorite Andre Ramalho is leaving series champion Red Bull Salzburg.

An era comes to an end!

Andre Ramalho leaves, as reported by the “Krone”, Austria’s double winner Red Bull Salzburg and joins PSV Eindhoven.

“I owe Salzburg an incredible amount”
Together with his wife Mayara, he was spotted at the Dutch top club on Tuesday. After he passed the medical check, the two clubs were confirmed early Wednesday morning.

“I owe an incredible amount to FC Red Bull Salzburg and not only had a great time here, but also a highly successful one. It is really difficult for me to say goodbye because I have so many wonderful memories of the club, the city and the people,” leaves the veteran his heart club with a crying eye.

Ramalho wants to open a new chapter
His motivation to say goodbye anyway: “I’m 29 years old now and I would now like to take the great opportunity to open another exciting new chapter in my football career.”

Especially since an old companion is waiting for him in the Netherlands: ex-bull coach Roger Schmidt. He’s now training in Eindhoven and bringing his protégé to him, just as he did a few years ago in Leverkusen.

Many years in Salzburg
Ramalho came to the Salzach from RB Brasil in January 2011 and served his way up over the Juniors and Anif before becoming a regular at Salzburg. After a two and a half year interlude in Germany (Leverkusen, Mainz), he returned to the red-white-red industry leader at the beginning of 2018.

Ramalho played a total of 240 competitive games for Salzburg. In addition to six championship titles, he also won five cup wins. Internationally, he stormed into the semi-finals of the Europa League with the bulls in 2018.
