Scandals, tragedies, successes: The year 2023 is coming to an end. At the big headline party, the “Krone” looks back on the year 2023.
2023 was a very special year. Since March, the “Kärntner Krone” has been celebrating its 40th birthday together with its readers – with lots of gifts and cakes, but also with a journey into times gone by and a glimpse of those that are yet to come. At the headline party, editor-in-chief Hannes Mößlacher and moderator Patrick Jochum led the approximately 120 guests through the year. In the 34th headline book, the “Krone” has collected the most moving stories of the year: from the state elections in March, to the violent storms in the summer, to big million-dollar lawsuit involving the crypto company EXW. In the company of countless personalities from business, culture, politics and sport, the headline book 2023 was presented on the Christmas-decorated ship on the beautiful Lake Wörthersee. But there was also a surprise for the “Krone”. There was a birthday cake and a birthday serenade from city manager Christian Scheider and deputy regional manager Gaby Schaunig.
