For several months, the X.com platform has been experimenting with a subscription formula for new users in the Philippines and New Zealand. They are in fact invited to pay 1 dollar for the right to publish on the network as soon as their registration is finalized, without benefiting from the slightest advantage compared to a traditional subscriber.

And it is precisely this same economic model that Elon Musk seems ready to deploy across his entire network, in order to fight more effectively against bots and unwanted accounts. At present, it is impossible to know if/when this new subscription formula will be implemented.
