King Charles III and Queen Camilla celebrated Christmas at Sandringham alongside other members of the royal family, but also from the sister, of the children and the Queen’s grandchildren. The following day, the BBC broadcast a documentary on Charles’ first year of reign as sovereign: Charles III: The year of the coronation. The opportunity to hear several relatives of the royal couple speak of the bond that binds them.
Annabel Elliot, Queen Camilla’s sister spoke in the documentary. The one who was part of both “ladies in attendance”or ladies in waiting of the Queen, during the coronation last May, spoke about the couple formed by Charles and Camilla: “She is his rock, and I cannot emphasize that enough. A unique bond binds Charles and Camilla
If Annabel Elliot readily admitted thatthey are like “yin and yang” and that they “are really poles apart” one of the othershe indicated: “But it works wonderfully.” The King’s sister, Princess Anne, also spoke – for the first time publicly – about the long relationship between her brother and his sister-in-law and she has gave Camilla her approval : “I’ve known her for a long time, on and off. His understanding of the role and the difference it makes to the King is absolutely exceptional.” And Zara Tindall’s mother added, visibly appreciating her sister-in-law: “This role is not something that comes naturally to her, but she handles it very well.
