King Charles and his son Prince William always know how to keep their composure, but a comment by former US President Donald Trump about Catherine, Princess of Wales, apparently caused the two royals to break out in verbal tirades.

Catherine, Princess of Wales, 40, will probably remember this moment of shock for a long time: In 2012, the French “Closer” printed pictures of her sunbathing topless in Provence. A scandal that shook the British royal family. A tweet that Donald Trump, 76, made at the time is said to have “exploded” King Charles, 73, and Prince William, 40.

King Charles and Prince William are outraged

“Kate Middleton is great – but she shouldn’t be sunbathing naked – it’s her own fault,” tweeted the former US President after the paparazzi photos that the then Duchess of Cambridge was released a year after their royal wedding in the private situation showed. “Who wouldn’t want to take a picture of Kate and make a lot of money lounging naked in the sun. Come on Kate!” he added.

As author Christopher Andersen writes in his upcoming biography, The King: The Life of Charles III. now revealed, Charles, William and Prince Harry, 38, are said to have burst out in rants. A Clarence House butler reported in the book that Trump’s comment sparked a “barrage of abuse” from Catherine’s father-in-law, husband and pregnant woman.

Donald Trump messed it up with the British Royals

But there were other inappropriate remarks from the ex-president, with which he fired himself from the British Royals. As “Newsweek” quotes from an excerpt of the biography, Charles was also “disappointed” after Trump called him the “Prince of the Whales”.

The American couldn’t help but make an inappropriate comment about Princess Diana, † 36. Trump once claimed that he could have slept with her if he wanted to.

No wonder the British royal family tried to stop Trump from visiting the UK in 2017, shortly after he took office, according to Andersen. Charles, William and Harry “ran the phone lines between Clarence House and Kensington Palace, with all three princes agreeing to work behind the scenes to prevent Trump’s visit,” Andersen said.
