In the series “Daredevil” Charlie Cox played the title hero until 2018. Now the fan favorite could switch to the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

For three seasons, from 2015 to 2018, Charlie Cox (38) played the blind lawyer Matt Murdock in “Marvel’s Daredevil” on Netflix, who hunts criminals at night as a masked hero. After Netflix returned the rights to the Marvel character, it has become quiet about the hero. But now Kevin Feige, the boss of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, in an interview with “Cinemablend” hinted at a comeback for Daredevil – and a return for Cox.

Fans have repeatedly called for Daredevil to make a comeback as well as its incorporation into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. And Cox would be her ideal choice. Now Marvel seems to have heard the wishes. Feige promised that if Daredevil returned, only Charlie Cox would be eligible for the role.

Comeback already in “Spiderman – No Way Home”?

And the devil’s return seems a foregone conclusion, even if Feige does not want to commit when and in what form it could happen. “Where we see this, how we see this, when we see this remains to be seen,” said the notoriously secretive Marvel mastermind.

A Daredevil comeback, however, could come sooner than expected. Rumors have been going around for months that Matt Murdock might appear in “Spiderman – No Way Home,” which hits theaters on December 16. But Charlie Cox doesn’t want to know anything about it. In one interview, which he gave a year and a half ago, the actor ruled out that he would appear in the MCU’s third “Spider-Man” solo. “If that’s true, it’s not me. It’s another actor,” he said at the time. But Kevin Feige has ruled out this possibility.
