Charlize Theron gives an extremely rare glimpse into her private life and, on the occasion of her mother’s birthday, shows several private photos that also show her two children
Actress Charlize Theron, 46, loves and protects her privacy above all else and rarely reveals a glimpse of her private life. But on the occasion of her mother Gerda Theron’s birthday, she makes a big exception and posts a loving hymn to her mother on Instagram for her 6.7 million followers – plus a number of private photos that also show her two daughters.
Charlize Theron: Birthday anthem to mother Gerda shows rare photo with both daughters
On Thursday, January 27, 2022, the Hollywood star posted a whole series of private photos on Instagram for mother Gerda’s birthday. Most are of mother and daughter, but in the last photo we get a rare glimpse of Charlize’s adorable daughters August, 7, and Jackson, 10. The last photo in the series shows her two daughters posing on a hike with their grandmother. Charlize wrote: “Today is my mother’s birthday. I wanted to share it with you all because everyone who knows her knows how incredibly awesome it is to be in her sunlight. She really is life,” enthuses Charlize about her mother.

Charlize continued, “She laughs louder than anyone. She’s a great tennis player/golfer/hiker and great to gossip with! She’s direct, she’s honest, she’s funny and she’ll give you her opinion at any time of the day to say!” The “Atomic Blonde” actress only became a mother through adoption and loves her girls household more than anything: daughter Jackson came to her in 2012 and daughter August adopted her three years later. Since then, Charlize has kept her daughters under wraps and doesn’t show them at film premieres or photo shoots. But the loving birthday hymn to mother Gerda is the big exception and for us we finally have the chance to see her daughters growing up.
