Charlotte Casiraghi, 36, took over her dealings with the tabloid press from her mother Caroline, 66: Private life remains private. The two Monegasques rarely give interviews, and they rarely talk about anything other than their work for the royal family or projects that are close to their hearts. Dimitri Rassam, 41, has also adapted his second wife’s credo.

“I am very fortunate to have a wonderful wife and equally wonderful children”

In April of this year, however, the filmmaker made a rare exception. As part of the promotion for his new film “The Three Musketeers – D’Artagnan”, Rassam spoke on the French talk show “Quelle époque!” surprisingly open about his love for Charlotte Casiraghi and their life together. “She supports me and that’s very important. I’m very happy to have a wonderful wife and wonderful children,” said the 41-year-old, but stressed at the same time that he was “very proud of my wife”. not wanting to be “reduced” to her famous family.

Nevertheless, the story of the Grimaldis fascinates him, together with Beatrice Borromeo, 37, Pierre, 35, and Andrea Casiraghi, 39, Dimitri Rassam even dares to do a documentary about the royal family, as they enthusiastically announced at this year’s Cannes Film Festival. The boundary between the private life of the family and the public interest should still be preserved, as Rassam already emphasized in “Quelle époque!”.

An attitude with which Dimitri Rassam can not only score with his loved ones. The entire Grimaldi clan is known for drawing a sharp line between their private and work lives, and it is not uncommon for nasty rumors and speculation to be defended against. The press office of the princely family recently condemned the headlines about a marriage crisis between Prince Albert, 65, and Princess Charlène, 45, with sharp words.

Glamour, elegance and lots of love

However, Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam do not have to deal with rumors of a love crisis – on the contrary. The parents of a son together know how to dose and stage performances for two perfectly. On important projects, they have each other’s backs and act as a unit without stealing the spotlight from one another. However, when the Monegasque and the filmmaker visit exclusive events such as the Cannes Film Festival or the Monaco Grand Prix, they shine together for the photographers and give the world what they want to see from the two: glamour, elegance and lots of love .

Nevertheless, the couple give each other their freedom, Charlotte and Dimitri often appear separately from each other. The daughter of Caroline von Hannover, for example, has many appointments on behalf of the princely family with other family members, while Rassam focuses on his own projects. In contrast to other family members, the two do not start speculating about a marital crisis.

Charlotte Casiraghi experiences ‘difficult and amazing moments’ every day

In addition to work, Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam focus on one thing above all: their family. In an interview with the US magazine “Town & Country” at the end of last year, the Monegasque revealed that she lives in Monaco near her brothers Pierre and Andrea Casiraghi and that their children regularly play together. Otherwise, a typical day in the Casiraghi-Rassam household is rather calm. Charlotte takes Balthazar and Raphaël to school and picks them up again, since French children always come home for lunch.

“I would say a typical day isn’t as exciting or different than a lot of moms,” she said, adding, “It’s very hard to sum it up. I think every day has difficult moments and amazing moments. Every day has moments , when you worry about your children or when they exhaust you, and then there are moments when you share so much with them that you don’t even question the fact that they are the most important thing in life.”

With this attitude, Charlotte Casiraghi and Dimitri Rassam have mastered their marriage for four years and have proven how a relationship on equal footing can work – despite the limelight.
