Between 1998 and 2006, the Halliwell sisters bewitched viewers in Charmed. At the beginning of the series, the public thus met Prue, Piper and Phoebe, three sisters discovering that they were the descendants of a long line of witches endowed with extraordinary magical powers… Their already legendary trio constituted the Power of Three.
A cult series
Prue was telekinetic, Piper was freezing time, and Phoebe was having premonitions. Together, the girls fought against evil forces and demons that preyed on innocent people. To guide them through this fantastic world, our heroines could count on the unfailing support of Leo, their being of Light who constantly watched over them.
Very quickly, the public takes an immense affection for these endearing characters and the success of Charmed becomes planetary. Shannen Doherty slipped into the skin of Prue, the eldest. Holly Marie Combs played Piper, the youngest. Finally, Alyssa Milano lent her features to Phoebe, the youngest of the sorority.
At the end of season 3 of the series, nothing is going well behind the scenes and Shannen Doherty is purely and simply fired! To replace her, the show’s teams recruit Rose McGowan who then plays the role of Paige, a new hidden sister who allows the Power of Three to be reformed.
The Power of Three will deliver us
The Charmed adventure continues for five additional seasons and therefore ends in 2006, at the end of season 8 and 178 episodes in total! Become cult, the American fiction has crossed the generations and was even entitled to a reboot in 2018 (which will have lasted four seasons)…
