The online search giants are looking to implement AI as quickly as possible within their search engine to ride the wave of conversational agents. Microsoft plans to announce this Tuesday, February 7 around 7 p.m. (Paris time) a new version of Bing, probably with the integration of ChatGPT, according to information from The Verge.

For the occasion, several journalists specializing in new technologies were invited to the firm’s headquarters in Redmond (Washington). The invitation states that Satya Nadella, the CEO of Microsoft, “will share progress on a few exciting projects”. The North American giant is expected to announce “the new Bing” who will provide “full answers” to real questions.
This press conference comes a few weeks after the announcement of the strengthening of the partnership with the Californian company OpenAI. Microsoft will thus inject 10 billion dollars into projects based on artificial intelligence, with OpenAI reserving the first of its innovations. Azure customers can already access models developed by OpenAI and integrate AI into their projects.
On Twitter, Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, said to himself “excited by the event”. The manager thus confirms in a nutshell the implementation of the technologies developed by his company at the heart of Microsoft services.

For the occasion, Microsoft is likely to announce support for ChatGPT within Bing. Internal rumors indeed evoke for several weeks the arrival of the IA to improve the results of the search engine. According to a first version that appeared on the web on Friday February 3, ChatGPT would be integrated in the form of a Chat tab and could respond to user requests based on recent and sourced information. At the same time, Microsoft could announce the arrival of OpenAI technologies in Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
For its part, Google has formalized the imminent arrival of Bard, its own conversational agent, to compete with ChatGPT. The Mountain View-based company plans to deploy AI at the heart of many of its online services. A press conference on the subject has been called for Wednesday, February 8. For its part, the Chinese search giant Baidu plans to launch its own chatbot in the coming months. The race for AI therefore does not seem to be about to stop.
