Il is a familiar guest of viewers of Top chef, on M6. Yannick Alléno has been chosen by C8 to embody a new cooking show concept. As related The Parisian Tuesday, March 15, the three-starred chef will co-host an unprecedented event on the Canal+ group channel dedicated to emblematic dishes from French and international gastronomy, alongside Raphaële Marchal, columnist on the talk show William at noon.
According to The Parisian, the two co-hosts will travel to the four corners of France to elect the favorite dish of the French. Yannick Alléno and Raphaële Marchal will honor the “ambassadors” of the selected recipes. Another show devoted to desserts would be in the pipeline, with this same duo. The show, whose name has not yet been revealed by C8, is scheduled for the first part of the evening by the end of the season, with filming this week in Paris, notably at Felicità, the foodncourt of the Big Mamma group in the 13and arrondissement.

Accusations of violence in the kitchen
Three macaroons in the Michelin Guide since 2017, Yannick Alléno runs eighteen establishments in France and around the world, including the kitchens of the Pavillon Ledoyen in Paris. In March 2015, France Info relayed the testimonies of several employees of his Champs-Élysées restaurant accusing him of verbal pressure, physical assault, untenable working conditions and moral harassment. An investigation that the main interested party, then under the influence of an industrial tribunal trial of an ex-employee, attacked in defamation, before retracting in 2019.
According to Mediapart, Yannick Alléno was sentenced in 2017 for violence and harassment towards one of his former cooks at the Ledoyen Pavilion. The 53-year-old chef was also singled out for his sexist remarks. “The DNA of women is to give birth”, he declared in 2019 during a symposium at the musée du quai Branly-Jacques-Chirac, where the absence of invited female chefs had sparked controversy. “My intention was not at all to reduce the role of women in motherhood, but to recognize that they have all the more merit in their journey when we know that they also give life”, had– he backpedaled on Twitter.
