From Monday April 25, M6 will unveil a brand new access program, entitled Chefs à domicile and headlined by Norbert Tarayre. Presentations of this culinary program.
The Best Bakery in France gives way… to a new culinary program. M6 has (almost) the monopoly of this television genre. Outraged Top chef whose 13th season is in full swing, The best pastry chef and its derivative with professionals, it is now in access-prime-time that the kitchen makes your mouth water the television viewers. But the time is not (yet) for a new burst of Everyone in the kitchen nor to Top Chef objective. The private channel is now betting on a new show: Chefs at home, which lands on Monday, April 25 at 6:40 p.m. What is the concept? TV Star explains everything to you.
Produced by Endemol, this program originates from Germany. But across the Rhine, it is a premium show in which only two chefs compete. It’s a different version offered by M6, which has adapted this format in order to make it available at the end of the afternoon and above all several chefs will parade. This is Norbert Tarayre who is the “host” of this competition, which is initially scheduled to be broadcast over four weeks. Each week, he will face a chef who made the heyday of Top chef. “It was not a prerequisite. The only thing is that we were looking for familiar faces for the viewers, people who were really experienced in the kitchen and able to meet the challenges“, explains Matthieu Bayle, the producer during the press conference. For the launch, it will be Merouan Bounekraf who will rub shoulders with Norbert Tarayre. Mohamed Cheikh, Pierre Augé and Noëmie Honiat will then take over.
Norbert Tarayre and his competitors will encounter some difficulties
But what is their challenge? They will have 90 minutes to come up with the best takeaway. But it won’t be so easy, sincethey won’t know who they are cooking for, what are their culinary preferences or, on the contrary, what they do not like. Before they rush behind their stoves, Norbert Tarayre and his opponent will receive three clues – including the number of people invited to this meal, for example – that they will have to decipher in order to go in the right direction. And as they have launched preparations, Jérôme Anthony, conductor of this competition, will distill new elements to them to comfort them in their recipes, or on the contrary push them to change everything. Once their dishes are finished and packaged, the two competitors will deliver their mystery shoppers. Only Jérôme Anthony will attend this tasting. Customers will then rate the two chefs out of five stars to determine the winner, while those interested will discover the reviews of their dish on a screen.
