Chicago Fire: this star of the series for almost 10 seasons announces his departure

As filming for season 12 of “Chicago Fire” prepares to begin in the United States, one of the stars of the series since season 3 will bow out…

As previously revealed, Chicago Fire will indeed be back for season 12. Unfortunately, this good news is accompanied today by an announcement that will sadden fans of the NBC series (the channel which broadcasts the show to United States): one of the members of the fire team is indeed preparing to leave her equipment in the locker room for good!

Kara Killmer leavesChicago Fire

Kara Killmer will unfortunately leave Chicago Fire… As reported by the specialized American media Variety, the one who slips into the skin of Sylvie Brett will still appear in the credits of the drama during the first part of the twelfth season. On the other hand, we do not know exactly how many episodes the actress will appear in.

The main actress joined the cast of Chicago Fire in season 3 and has appeared in 193 episodes since! Kara Killmer also reprized her role in the franchise’s other spin-off series Chicago such as Chicago Med and Chicago Police Department.

A happy ending for Brett?

In the Chicago Fire storylines, Brett has a relationship with Matt Casey. The latter is played by Jesse Spencer but the actor chose to withdraw from the series at the end of season 10. He nevertheless returned occasionally during season 11.

In the last scenes of this eleventh salvo, Casey actually proposed to Brett! However, the hero now lives in another state… This could therefore suggest that Brett will follow his future husband and thus leave Chicago! The bets have been made…

One thing is certain in any case, after months of strike, the writers of Chicago Fire finally began writing the next adventures of the fire soldiers on October 4. Filming is scheduled to resume the week of November 27… with the return of Taylor Kinney as Kelly Severide! To be continued.
