The super simple chicken curry recipe
This recipe is very easy to make and the ingredients are quite easy to find. It is offered by the Tiktok account @unzestepourdeux. It is possible to vary it by changing the spices, opting for colombo for example.
Ingredients for 2 people
- 300g chicken
- 1 onion
- 1 clove of garlic
- Fresh, powdered or pickled ginger
- 1 teaspoon (2 to 3 g) curry
- 1 tablespoon yellow curry paste
- 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt
- 15 cl of coconut milk
- Juice of half a lemon
- Coriander
- Salt and pepper
Preparation steps
- Take your chicken fillets and cut them to make small strips or slices.
- Peel the onion and the garlic clove, then slice the onion. Crush the garlic then finely chop the coriander.
- Add salt and curry to your chicken.
- In a frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and brown the chicken until the pieces are nicely browned. Reserve.
- In the same pan, brown the onions then add the garlic, ginger and curry paste.
- Then add the yogurt and coconut milk and stir everything well. Let it sit over medium heat for about ten minutes before adding the chicken.
- Heat over low heat. The chicken should be well cooked inside. Sprinkle with chopped coriander, add the juice of a lemon.
With what accompaniment should you serve chicken curry?
Chicken curry is very generally accompanied by white rice because the sauce already has a lot of flavor, so no need to make rice pilaf or rice with vegetables. If you are not a big fan of white rice, then you can very well opt for tagliatelle or spaghetti. Finally, steamed potatoes also go well with chicken curry.
