The super simple chicken curry recipe

This recipe is very easy to make and the ingredients are quite easy to find. It is offered by the Tiktok account @unzestepourdeux. It is possible to vary it by changing the spices, opting for colombo for example.

Ingredients for 2 people

  • 300g chicken
  • 1 onion
  • 1 clove of garlic
  • Fresh, powdered or pickled ginger
  • 1 teaspoon (2 to 3 g) curry
  • 1 tablespoon yellow curry paste
  • 1 tablespoon of natural yogurt
  • 15 cl of coconut milk
  • Juice of half a lemon
  • Coriander
  • Salt and pepper

Preparation steps

  1. Take your chicken fillets and cut them to make small strips or slices.
  2. Peel the onion and the garlic clove, then slice the onion. Crush the garlic then finely chop the coriander.
  3. Add salt and curry to your chicken.
  4. In a frying pan, heat a drizzle of olive oil and brown the chicken until the pieces are nicely browned. Reserve.
  5. In the same pan, brown the onions then add the garlic, ginger and curry paste.
  6. Then add the yogurt and coconut milk and stir everything well. Let it sit over medium heat for about ten minutes before adding the chicken.
  7. Heat over low heat. The chicken should be well cooked inside. Sprinkle with chopped coriander, add the juice of a lemon.

With what accompaniment should you serve chicken curry?

Chicken curry is very generally accompanied by white rice because the sauce already has a lot of flavor, so no need to make rice pilaf or rice with vegetables.
