This is how you style the noble hair bun

Elegant, classic and easy to style: Hardly any hairstyle has been as popular as the chignon. The elegant hair bun is always a suitable hairstyle, especially for festive occasions such as a wedding or a romantic date. Styled more casually, the updo also looks great in everyday life!
What is a chignon?
Topknot, bun, bun: the chignon has many names today, but in the end they are all just slight variations of the same hairstyle. And there are many good reasons to choose your chignon: The elegant look suits every woman – but men have also discovered it for themselves and wear it as a “man bun”. In principle, anyone with at least shoulder-length hair can style the chignon.
What do I need for the chignon?
So that the chic Hairstyle succeeds, you only need the following small helper:
- comb and brush
- hair tie
- hair clips or bobby pins
- hairspray
If you want to make the chignon particularly festive, you can too beaded clasps or flowers get and work into the hairstyle.
Step by step instructions for the chignon
You can style a chignon very cool or very elegantly – depending on the occasion. Tip: The hair is more manageable if it is not freshly washed. For the same effect, you can also work some dry shampoo into your hair before you style it. Here comes our instructions for the topknot:
- First, comb your hair back away from your face.
- Tie a low ponytail with a ponytail.
- Now pull the hair tie down a little and pull the hair apart on the left and right over the braid, so that a hole is created.
- Reach through the hole with your thumb and forefinger and pull the braid through the hole.
- If your hair is long enough, you can repeat the process again: put your thumb and forefinger through the hole again and pull the braid through a second time.
- Now tighten the elastic again, grab the rest of the braid and put the ends of the hair in the hole.
- Now the ends of the hair are fixed with a few hairpins or hair clips.
- Finally, hairspray ensures that the chignon is held in place – done!
