Children’s sunscreen at Stiftung Warentest: These sunscreens are convincing

Apart from this exception, there was hardly anything to complain about for the product testers: Eleven products received the overall grade “good”, one was “satisfactory” – the protection performance was convincing throughout. There were drawbacks, for example, when the product did not moisturize the skin as well or the label on the packaging promised more than the product could deliver.

Four of the cheapest products scored “very good”, all of them private labels from discounters or drugstore chains: Lidl Cien Sun Kids sun cream (sun protection factor 50+, 2.25 euros per 100 milliliters), Müller Lavozon Kids Med sun milk (50+, 2.48 euros /100 ml), Aldi Ombra sun spray Easy Protect Kids (30, 1.99 euros/100 ml) and Rossmann Sunozon Kids sun spray (50, 2.40 euros/100 ml).
