Many big ones are missing – many Chinese are there
Quite a few manufacturers save themselves the trip to Munich in view of the economic situation. Peugeot, Citroen and Fiat are missing, as are Hyundai, Kia and Toyota. More exclusive brands such as Ferrari, Jaguar and Volvo also stay away from the fair. In addition to the German top dogs plus Opel and Ford, suppliers, mobility service providers and IT companies in particular are on site. And of course the Chinese. For BYD, MG Motor and Xpeng, the IAA should become a stepping stone to the continent. The European market share of all Chinese manufacturers together is still relatively small at just under 2.5 percent – but it has already doubled compared to the previous year.
