Eva O’Neill, Princess Madeleine’s mother-in-law, and her mother Queen Silvia get along great. Now there are rumors in Sweden that Chris O’Neill’s mother will be the surprise guest at Silvia’s big birthday party.
On the day before Christmas Eve, Queen Silvia celebrates her 80th birthday. Apparently it’s not just Princess Madeleine, 41, husband Chris O’Neill, 49, and their three children who are traveling from Florida for this very special occasion. Swedish media are rumoring that Madeleine’s mother-in-law Eva O’Neill is also expected – much to the monarch’s delight.

The Swedish royals around King Carl Gustaf, 77, and Princess Victoria, 46, will all be in their home town of Stockholm for this year’s Christmas. Then in November the wonderful confirmation: the monarch’s youngest child will also return to his homeland from the distant USA – with the entire family in tow. That confirmed Court information chief Margareta Thorgren to the Swedish newspaper “Svensk Damtidning”.

Close friendship, shared vacations and red carpets
Because according to rumors, charity lady Eva O’Neill is also coming, reports “Svensk Damtidning”. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it would definitely be possible. Because Eva and Queen Silvia have been close friends for years. The ladies regularly spend time together and show their intimacy in rare public appearances together.
For example, Eva O’Neill vacationed with the royal family in the summer on her beloved Baltic Sea island of Öland. In return, Silvia and King Carl support Gustaf Chris O’Neills Mother at the Salzburg Festival – most recently in August of this year.
