Christian Eriksen has found a new club in England after suffering cardiac arrest at the European Championship.
(dpa) The Danish national player Christian Eriksen is back in business more than half a year after his collapse at the European Championship – and is playing in the Premier League again. As expected, the 29-year-old joined English promoted team Brentford. This was announced by the London club on Monday.
According to this, Eriksen, who was recently without a contract, signed a contract until next summer after passing the medical check. Only the international release is still pending, it said. Nothing was initially known about an option for another year, as previously reported in the British media.
Eriksen had previously undergone extensive medical examinations at Brentford. He collapsed from cardiac arrest during the group stage match against Finland at last June’s European Championship and had to be resuscitated. He was then fitted with a defibrillator. His contract with Inter Milan was terminated because he was not allowed to play in the Italian Serie A with a defibrillator.

Like last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get the Rams the chance to win the championship in their own stadium. While the Rams are seeking their second NFL title (then the St. Louis Rams) after 2000 and the 23-16 loss to the Tennessee Titans, the Bengals have never won the championship and were last in the Super Bowl 33 years ago.

The 25-year-old from eastern Switzerland was credited with the second assist from Matty Boldy (23rd) in the 4-3 away win of the Minnesota Wild against the New York Islanders. If Fiala also scores with the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night, he equals Mikael Granlund’s franchise record from the 2016/17 season.
