(dpa) The Danish national player Christian Eriksen is back in business more than half a year after his collapse at the European Championship – and is playing in the Premier League again. As expected, the 29-year-old joined English promoted team Brentford. This was announced by the London club on Monday.

According to this, Eriksen, who was recently without a contract, signed a contract until next summer after passing the medical check. Only the international release is still pending, it said. Nothing was initially known about an option for another year, as previously reported in the British media.

Eriksen had previously undergone extensive medical examinations at Brentford. He collapsed from cardiac arrest during the group stage match against Finland at last June’s European Championship and had to be resuscitated. He was then fitted with a defibrillator. His contract with Inter Milan was terminated because he was not allowed to play in the Italian Serie A with a defibrillator.

Like last year, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers get the Rams the chance to win the championship in their own stadium. Ice hockey: Fiala scores in the eleventh game in a row

(sda) Kevin Fiala has scored for the eleventh straight game in the NHL. The 25-year-old from eastern Switzerland was credited with the second assist from Matty Boldy (23rd) in the 4-3 away win of the Minnesota Wild against the New York Islanders. If Fiala also scores with the Chicago Blackhawks on Thursday night, he equals Mikael Granlund’s franchise record from the 2016/17 season.

It is currently the longest scorer series in the best ice hockey league in the world. Fiala, who is playing for a new contract, has recorded eight goals and six assists in those 11 games (total 12/20). Despite 21:43 shots on goal, the Wild celebrated their fifth win in a row, the eighth in the last nine matches – they suffered their only defeat in a penalty shoot-out.

Nino Niederreiter and the Carolina Hurricanes won the Swiss duel against Timo Meier’s San Jose Sharks 2-1. The two power strikers remained without a scorer point. While Carolina won for the fourth time in a row, San Jose suffered their sixth loss in the last eight games. Defenseman Dean Kukan was outnumbered in the Columbus Blue Jackets’ 6-3 win over the Montreal Canadiens.

One game missing from the club record: Kevin Fiala is busy collecting points in the NHL.
