The chances of a peaceful Christmas with the entire family are again poor this year for Christina Block, 49, and her partner, presenter Gerhard Delling, 64. This is the third time that the daughter of “Block House” founder Eugen Block, 83, has to , give up three of their children.

Christina Block sends letters and gifts to her children

“The Christmas days make the whole thing even worse,” Christina Block now tells “Bild”. She sent gifts and letters to the three, but doesn’t know whether they will arrive. “And then I ask myself what words my ex-husband uses when handing over the gifts to my children. Does he give them benevolently or does he denigrate the contents? I don’t know and that hurts. My children’s suffering is alienation.”

For months she has been fighting with her ex-husband Stephan Hensel, 48, who simply kept their children Johanna, 17, Klara, 12, and Theodor, 9, with him after a visit to his home country of Denmark in 2021. Only 15-year-old Greta still lives with her mother.

Christina Block and her ex actually share custody, and she even has the right to determine her place of residence. But a court in Denmark ruled in Stephan Hensel’s favor in February and refused to return the children to Germany. The 49-year-old was given access rights, but there has not yet been a meeting between her and her children. Her ex canceled all appointments, Block said. Now she has to go into litigation again.

Christina Block: “This topic concerns us every day”

Christina Block is taking the situation seriously. “Normally I would make Advent calendars for four children. Now it’s the third year that I’ve only made one for one child. That’s close to my heart,” she explains. At Christmas she is always reminded of old times, seeing other children playing on the street and then looking at “my children’s empty rooms” at home. The whole thing isn’t easy for daughter Greta and partner Gerhard either.

“This topic concerns us every day. There is actually nothing else in our lives,”

is Christina Block’s sad conclusion. Her partner also bases his life on it – something that doesn’t come naturally to her. At least the rest of the family gets together over the holidays, including the sports journalist’s daughters. “We celebrate with the family that is still there, but think of the other children – and we pray every day that we get them back. The steakhouse heiress wants “the best for my children”, which includes both of them She makes it clear that she will continue to fight for this next year.
