“The Biggest Loser” has announced some changes for the new season. In the interview, Christine Theiss talks about the innovations.

The upcoming season of the Sat.1 show “The Biggest Loser – Life Made Easy” is drawing attention to itself with some minor changes even before it starts. As the broadcaster announced in mid-November, the show will be shown every Monday at prime time from January 8th – and no longer on Sunday afternoons as usual. On the other hand, the position of the former kickboxing world champion Dr. Christine Theiss (43) has been abolished as camp boss, at least in its previous form.

“It will be something very special this time,” Theiss told the news agency spot on news on Monday evening (December 4th) at the “Mon Chéri Barbara Tag” in Munich. Both she and her trainer and moderation colleague Ramin Abtin (51) will each take over a team and compete against each other: “I’m challenging my highly valued friend and coaching legend Ramin Abtin and then we’ll see who wins in the end. We know “Not yet, we’re still in the middle of it. It’s definitely going to be exciting,” said Theiss.

What was also new for Theiss was the intense closeness to the participants: “Usually I was always closer to the candidates than you saw on camera. But now, of course, I was with them for what felt like 24 hours. That’s a very intense one Time. Experiencing the stories in a much more dense way was also a new experience for me. I’m very happy that we made this change because I love my job there.”

This is still known about season 16

This time, a total of 23 candidates are declaring war on their excess pounds. In addition to the title of “The Biggest Loser 2024,” there is also prize money of 50,000 euros. Viewers can look forward to ten new episodes of the weight loss show. In addition to Sat.1, the show will also be shown on the Joyn streaming platform.
