Christof Industries – A plant manufacturer that went bankrupt has a future

The workshop in Werndorf was closed, as was that in Wels, as well as a service office in Vienna – these measures are all intended to ensure that Christof Industries Austria continues. The refurbishment process at the plant manufacturer has been underway since the end of September. According to the creditor protection associations, the liabilities amounted to around 66 million euros at the time.

One is “above expectations” – this was announced by Christof Industries Austria after the reporting and auditing statute at the regional court in Graz. Visible restructuring measures have already been implemented with the closure of the workshops in Werndorf and Wels (in Upper Austria, the measure also affects apprentices who have to leave the company) and the service office in Vienna when 70 million euros in claims were registered. More than 50 million euros were also recognized. According to Isola, the continued existence of the company is secured. Now the group of companies is to be stabilized. Talks have started with strategic investors – not only in Austria, but also worldwide. Around 350 people were employed at Christof Industries Austria when insolvency proceedings were opened, most of them in Wels.
