Christopher Nolan: shooting in black and white for the director of The Dark Knight?

It’s turning for Christopher Nolan! Shooting for Oppenheimer, the English director’s twelfth feature film, began this week. And it is with a first photo of Cillian Murphy, interpreter of the main role of this biopic in the form of a thriller, that the team marked the occasion.

Headed by Universal, which took in the filmmaker after his breakup with Warner, the feature film will be released in theaters on July 19, 2023. There will be talk of J. Robert Oppenheimer, famous for having been the father of the atomic bomb during the Second World War, and it is obviously no coincidence that the first photo unveiled was in black and white.
