The cinematographic machine PlayStation Productions was launched with Uncharted at the beginning of the year, a nice success at the box office which will encourage the company to produce new projects. The big screen will soon host adaptations of Gran Turismo, Ghost of Tsushima and maybe even Jak & Daxterwhile series Twisted Metal, The Last of Us, Horizon 2074 and potentially god of war are approaching for the little one.
Another project has just been talked about unofficially. Deadlinea site specializing in cinema which has very well-placed sources in the community, claims to have learned thata film adaptation of Days Gone was in progress. Sheldon Turner (In the Air, X-Men: The Beginning) would write the screenplay, and the film would be produced with Jennifer Klein through their company Vendetta Productionsin collaboration with Asad Qizilbash and Carter Swan of PlayStation Productions. History would once again tell us of the survival of Deacon St. Johna seasoned biker searching for his lifelong love in a world populated by zombies, and would be written as “a love letter to motorcycle films” : from Easy Rider in the air ?
Sam Witwer, voice actor and model of the hero, however, would not be called back for the project, because still according to Deadline, that would be comedian Sam Heughan from Outlander who would have been selected for the main role. However, we will have to wait for the confirmation of PlayStation Productions to turn these rumors into reality. Until then, Days Gone is available from €21.99 on Amazon.co.uk.
