It may still seem implausible to some, but the franchise Gran Turismo will be at the center of an eponymous feature film this summer. After rapid production, the film for which we discovered a first trailer last May will land in cinemas in France on August 9, 2023.
More than a video game adaptation, Neill Blomkamp’s feature film will tell us the story of a phenomenon pilot who passed through the GT Academythis course which trains the best players of Gran Turismo to the very real circuit. We will thus follow the pangs of a young man from the working class (Archie Madekwe), having to prove himself against a failed former racing driver (David Harbour) and an idealistic leader (Orlando Bloom).
