On my left, David Fincher, 61 years old, twelve films in a thirty-year career since the third part of the Alien franchise released in 1992. On my right, Christopher Nolan, 53 years old, also twelve feature films, but twenty-five years old career since his first film Following, released in 1998.
On the news side, the first has just released his latest feature film The Killer, only available on the Netflix platform, as was already the case for his previous film Mank.
David Fincher directs actor Michael Fassbender for the first time in the role of a meticulous and ultra-professional hitman, who nevertheless experiences the first failure of his career by missing a target during a mission in Paris.
A regrettable false note which will take him to the four corners of the world in order to incapacitate the sponsor and the assassins who are now seeking to eliminate the one who has done the wrongdoing, as is the process during this type of mission.
The second continues to enjoy the phenomenal success, and it must be said, quite surprising given its subject, of his last feature film Oppenheimer. Indeed, the film centered on the American physicist Robert Oppenheimer nicknamed “the father of the atomic bomb”, has to date accumulated 950 million dollars in revenue worldwide, in third place among the biggest hits of the year, just behind Barbie and Super Mario Bros, the movie.
It also became the highest-grossing biopic in history, surpassing Bryan Singer’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
