Released almost 20 years ago, “The Incredibles” is a staple of Pixar studios. Do you still remember the first part of the Parr family adventures? Let’s check this through the eight questions of this quiz!
Pixar animation studios had not yet celebrated the tenth anniversary of their very first feature film, Toy Story, when the public discovered their new production, The Incredibles, in 2004.
The company was then in full expansion, having just experienced a new worldwide success the previous year with Finding Nemo (to which we have already devoted a quiz), a real hit at the box office, coming close to the symbolic mark ten million admissions in France and a billion in revenue worldwide to date.
Here again, success will be there for this new cartoon, featuring the Parrs, a family like no other, all of whose members are endowed with superpowers. As with many of Pixar’s successes, the film will have a sequel released in 2018, broadcast this evening on M6. On this occasion, we are offering you a quiz on the first part! Pixar “humanizes itself”
After the toys from Toy Story, the ants from 1001 Paws, the monsters from Monsters Inc. and the fish from Finding Nemo, The Incredibles is the first Pixar animated film to feature humans.
Famous voices
In the original version, many Hollywood stars lend their voices to The Incredibles, including Samuel L. Jackson, Jason Lee and Holly Hunter. In the French version, personalities from very different backgrounds took part in the adventure: the singer Lorie, the host Amanda Lear, the news presenter Patrick Poivre d’Arvor and the actor and comedian Bruno Salomone.
Superheroes in the fitting room
The Incredibles costumes required a significant amount of work, with 150 different outfits having been designed and made for all the characters, main or secondary. The difficulty of creating these clothes made director Brad Bird humorously say “that it is much easier to blow up a planet in computer graphics than to have one character grab another by the shirt!“.
