Prime Video releases episode 4 of Citadel this Friday, which picks up following the big twist from the previous week regarding the character of Abby.

Watch out for appearances in Citadel, Prime Video’s blockbuster series that airs one episode a week. Last week, subscribers learned that Abby (Ashleigh Cummings) – the wife of Mason (Richard Madden) – was actually a Citadel spy, who was assigned to get close to Anders Silje (Rolland Moller). Episode 3 also ended on this cliffhanger.
Episode 4 takes us back in time once again, when Mason meets a certain Celeste (who is none other than Abby), a new Citadel agent, longtime friend with Nadia (Priyanka Chopra) .
We learn that the Silje twins are working on a weapon capable of passing through any firewall. Celeste has a specific mission: to get closer to Anders, make him fall in love with her and steal the machine.
After weeks of infiltration, Celeste gives no more news, prompting Citadel agents to intervene. They discover that the weapon in question has disappeared. Mason receives at that time a confidential message implying that Nadia is guilty. Despite everything, he accuses Céleste of having stolen it in the hope of selling it and paying off his brother’s debts.
He ends up convincing his hierarchy that Celeste is indeed a double agent and that his memory must be erased. He finds her a new identity and a new address (in the town where her grandmother lived). His meeting with the one who will become his wife 8 years after these events then seems totally fortuitous…
Mason is therefore aware from the beginning that Nadia is a mole but seems to want to hide the truth from her superiors (for love?). Unfortunately for him, Carter (Osy Ikhile) also learns that his teammate has betrayed Citadel and that she is behind the agency’s downfall. The last two episodes of season 1 should explain why she decided to be a double agent.
