Why is Claudia Michelsen still not bored of her role in "Polizeiruf 110"? She compares the job to "a good relationship".

For seven years, actress Claudia Michelsen (51) has been in front of the camera as Chief Detective Doreen Brasch for the ARD series "Polizeiruf 110". She is far from bored of her role, on the contrary. "I really enjoy this figure. I am attached to the Brasch because I have the feeling that you can still do a few laps with it," she told the "Berliner Morgenpost".

It is easy for the actress to tell new stories in her role of the investigator from Magdeburg. It was "a bit like being in a good relationship," she said. "You develop together. In the best case, of course, for a good thing." For them the "always strong stories (…) of the main actors and Brasch the hostess".

Role patterns are not their thing

There are hardly any no-gos for Michelsen. According to her own account, she could not remember ever rejecting a script because it was too extreme. Instead, she said: "If I reject something, it is more because of the role patterns. If I am offered a woman for the third time whose children have disappeared, then I cannot contribute anything new."

Michelsen's next assignment as Chief Detective Doreen Brasch will be this Sunday (December 27th) at 8:15 pm in "Police Call 110: The Condemned" in the first.
