Your closeness to the soon-to-be opposition party CDU has long been known, now reality TV star Claudia Obert (60) is taking the next step. As she announced in an interview with the “Bild” newspaper, she becomes a member of the Angela Merkel and Helmut Kohl parties: “I will join the CDU in Hamburg, get involved politically.” You lack an association in which you can get involved. So she decided in favor of the Christian Democratic Union of Germany.
As an entrepreneur, she has the expertise and she has always been “half FDP, half CDU”: “I’ve been creating jobs for 30 years, I know what I’m talking about.” The CDU is the right party, but unfortunately it always sends the wrong people into the race. Her main interest is the market economy. In general, she no longer feels comfortable on reality TV, which is why the ardent supporter of former Chancellor Helmut Kohl (1930-2017) needs a new challenge.
CDU honorary chairman welcomes Claudia Obert with open arms
The party has also already responded to Obert’s announcement. The CDU honorary chairman Dirk Fischer (78) said in a short statement: “We are always looking for good people, especially strong women.” He will personally show Obert the party headquarters in the Ludwig-Erhard-Haus and explain everything to her: “Then we will seal everything. Welcome!”
