Not everything used to be bad – in the era of Blackberries and Palms, typing on a cell phone was easier for many people. The Clicks case gives the iPhone a real keyboard.
Clicks is by no means the first approach to equipping the iPhone with physical buttons, but it seems very well thought out. The creators had in mind a keyboard case that felt like a natural extension of Apple’s smartphone.
The well-known YouTuber Mr. Mobile was involved in the development. The case comes in two colors, yellow and gray, and is compatible with the iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max.
The makers not only argue with a better typing experience, but also highlight the screen space gained when using the keyboard. This can be particularly valuable when writing texts or comments in full-screen apps such as Tiktok or Instagram.
You can also use the keyboard to perform shortcuts in iOS and the individual keys can even be illuminated. The weight and dimensions of the keyboard cases cannot be ignored.
The Clicks case is 188.45 millimeters long, 2.5 millimeters thick and increases the screen edges by around 3 millimeters. The keyboard also increases the weight of your iPhone by 62 grams. This results in a rather bulky ensemble, especially when combined with the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
Price and availability
Clicks will officially be on display at the upcoming CES in Las Vegas. You can pre-order the iPhone keyboard here, the price is between $139 and $159. The keyboard is currently only available in QWERTY format. You can read more news about Apple here.
