Closing without trend for European stock markets on the eve of Christmas

European stock markets ended without a clear trend on Friday, after a sluggish session on Christmas Eve, despite US macroeconomic data.

The Paris Stock Exchange lost 0.20% to 6,504.90 points. Frankfurt rose by 0.19%, Milan by 0.27%. Earlier, the London market ended at a level close to balance at +0.05%, after a shortened session for the Christmas weekend.
