Cobra Kai back on Netflix: how did season 3 end?

On the occasion of the great return of the series on Netflix, here is a recap of the finale of the previous season of “Cobra Kai”!

Cobra Kai, back on Netflix! The fourth season of the series derived from the film Karate Kid arrives on the platform this December 31, the opportunity to discover the continuation of the adventures of Daniel LaRusso (Ralph Macchio) and Johnny Lawrence (William Zabka), and the disciples of their respective dojos!

But before finding the series for this season 4, here is what not to miss in the previous season.

Karate Kids

Rivals for over thirty years, Daniel and Johnny have finally found common ground to combine their forces against a common enemy: John Kreeve, the founder of the Cobra Kai dojo. Although still opposed by their antagonistic visions of karate, the two former enemies became allies for the duration of a fight.

Long blinded by the offensive philosophy of Cobra Kai, Johnny Lawrence finally realized his mistakes by deciding to form a brand new dojo: The Poisonous Eagle (which doesn’t mean anything, but the name sounds good). Several of his former students have decided to follow him in this new adventure, among them Miguel (his very first disciple) and Hawk.

Defeated but still standing

Robby, the new champion of the Cobra Kai dojo.

Although defeated by the alliance of the dojos of Daniel and Johnny, the Cobra Kai clan remains active. Now led with an iron fist by John Kreese, this team will be able to count on the presence of two high-level karatekas: Tory (rival of Samantha LaRusso, Daniel’s daughter) and especially Robby, in conflict with his father Johnny since the start of the series.

The alliance of the Miyagi and The Poisonous Eagle dojos could encounter difficulties because of the antagonistic philosophies pronounced by Daniel LaRusso and Johnny Lawrence. The motto of always “attacking first” followers of Cobra Kai could therefore benefit them in the face of the ideological division of the other two clans.

An enemy resurfaces

Netflix

A new enemy will appear during this fourth season. The latter is however well known to fans of Karate Kid: Terry Silver (Thomas Ian Griffith), the antagonist of the film Karate Kid III, will indeed make his comeback to support his old friend John Kreese.

We remember, thanks to several flashback scenes, that the latter two met during the Vietnam War. Saved in extremis from death by Kreese, Silver has since maintained a debt to his comrade in arms.

Old scores to settle will therefore be on the agenda of this fourth season of Cobra Kai (already renewed for an additional season by Netflix), to be discovered on the platform from December 31!
