Two police officers, including an officer, from the prestigious narcotics brigade of the Paris PJ, were indicted on Thursday, December 16 and imprisoned, suspected in particular of having replaced cocaine with plaster in seals, a-t- we learned from a judicial source on Friday.
They were indicted for forgery and use of forgery in public writing, transport and possession of narcotics and embezzlement of seals, according to the same source. One of the two has been remanded in custody. The other asked for a deferred debate before the judge of freedoms and detention on his possible placement in pre-trial detention and was imprisoned pending.

Both had been arrested and placed in police custody in a judicial investigation opened in August 2021, a judicial source indicated on Tuesday, confirming information from RTL. The investigation relates to suspicions of embezzlement of seals, possession, offer or transfer of narcotics, association of criminals as well as forgery and use in public writing. According to RTL, it is the second expertise of a seal, ordered by a judge investigating cocaine trafficking which revealed the presence of plaster in place and brought to light the sleight of hand.
The Parisian brigade had been shaken by a resounding scandal in 2014 with the theft of nearly 50 kilos of cocaine in its seals. Its author, a former police officer, was sentenced in 2017 to 10 years in prison, the maximum sentence. If he has always denied his involvement, he has however not appealed and the goods, estimated at 2 million euros, have never been found.
