Will the big reckoning now follow? Singer and athlete Cody Simpson (24) speaks for the first time about his breakup with pop star Miley Cyrus (28). The two were a couple from October 2019 to August 2020. “I think it was just one of those phases that you are going through and from which you learn a lot,” said the 24-year-old in an interview with the Australian news program “60 Minutes”.
The relationship came to a “peaceful” end
There doesn’t seem to be any bad blood between the two. “It all fell apart pretty peacefully,” explains Simpson and also reveals how the two of them got together in the first place. “We were kind of good friends, then we had a lot of mutual friends and then we were just together for a while.”
Cyrus had already commented on the relationship a long time ago. “Two halves cannot form a whole and we work individually to become the people we would like to be like everyone else at that age,” she explained to her fans on an Instagram livestream.
