HASBefore the refoundation, it would be necessary to take an interest in the foundation. Because the CNR, this National Council for Refoundation imagined by Emmanuel Macron last June to represent a “new method”, seems to be off to a bad start even before it was created. Whose fault is it ? To a president who wants to retain control at all costs, even if it means circumventing a Parliament that is less docile than under his first five-year term? Or to oppositions that refuse dialogue and an “outstretched hand” with arguments that sometimes border on bad faith?
The wrongs, in truth, are shared. And the collateral damage could prove costly for both parties. The French are preoccupied, worried, and therefore reluctant to see politicians getting lost in worthy combinations…
