Coincidental find – Porsche lay in a water ditch for weeks, handlebars dead

An employee of the Gottmadingen road maintenance depot (Germany), near the Vorarlberg border, made a gruesome find: the man discovered a Porsche that had been involved in an accident weeks ago in a water basin – the driver was still in the wreck. It is a 44-year-old man who has been missing for quite some time.

The road maintenance worker found the Porsche in a retention basin near Bundesstraße 34 in the Constance district. When the fire brigade pulled the car out of the water, the corpse in the wreck also came to light. It is likely to be a 44-year-old man from the Lake Constance district who has been missing for weeks.

Died of injuries
The police are currently assuming an accident. It is not yet known exactly when the tragic event took place. The man is likely to have strayed off the road with his car, slid down the slope and fell backwards into the retention basin. The officials assume that the driver died in his wreck from injuries caused by the accident.
