(CercleFinance.com) – Colas Rail announces that it has been selected by SNCF Réseau, alongside TSO, to carry out ballast renewal in mechanized mode on the Atlantique Nord and Paris Sud-Est high-speed lines, for an amount of 200 million euros.
The duration of the contract is four firm years to modernize 209 km of track, supplemented by three optional years for the remaining 222 km.
In total, 3.5 million tonnes of ballast will be renewed over a length of 431 km of track. Lockout operations and catenary adjustments as well as signaling will also be carried out.
‘We will thus contribute to improving regularity and increasing the frequency of train circulation on the tracks of the French railway network,’ commented Jean-François Milleron, Deputy Managing Director France Europe Colas Rail.
