Collisions with cars – 3rd wheel accident at the weekend: 10-year-old injured

While training for a bike race, a ten-year-old crashed into the rear of a car on Sunday morning in Großhartmannsdorf. In addition, a 38-year-old e-biker in St.Ruprecht an der Raab and a 66-year-old cyclist in Feldbach were hit by a car on Saturday. All three people were injured, the 66-year-old even seriously. In the last two cases, one of the people who caused the accident was very drunk, and the other was probably on drugs.

A ten-year-old must have been so focused while training for a racing bike race on Sunday morning that he noticed the reversing car too late. Because when he was driving backwards out of the driveway on Sebersdorferstrasse in Großhartmannsdorf (Hartberg-Fürstenfeld district), the boy couldn’t brake in time. He fell and then crashed into the rear of the 57-year-old driver. The ten-year-old suffered injuries of an undetermined degree – the rescue took him to Lkh Graz. Drivers under the influence of drugs and without a license caught e-bikers the day before there were also two accidents involving cyclists caused by car drivers. In St. Ruprecht an der Raab (district of Weiz) on Etzersdorferstrasse, a 31-year-old man hit a 38-year-old from the district of Weiz on an e-bike with his vehicle on Saturday afternoon. In a right-hand bend, the driver had slightly slipped into the oncoming lane – a collision followed; the e-bike rider was thrown into the ditch. He was also taken to the hospital with injuries of an unspecified degree. Because the driver behaved conspicuously when the accident was recorded, the suspicion arose that he might have been taking drugs. An investigation revealed the suspicion of taking narcotic drugs and an unfitness to drive. The man then said he was taking medication. It was also determined that the 31-year-old did not have a driver’s license. He is shown. Feldbach: Drunk caused a collision with a seriously injured person The next crash in Feldbach followed in the evening: A car driver (55) also hit a cyclist (66) and initially committed an escape – we reported. Only a few minutes later did the person who caused the accident from Morocco make an emergency call – later it turned out that he was heavily intoxicated. Unfortunately, the cyclist was seriously injured in the collision and had to be flown to the hospital by helicopter.
