Cologne instead of Battle of Britain: Angry Fury feels “fire and desire” in Charr

Cologne instead of Battle of Britain
Enraged Fury senses “Fire and Desire” in Charr

Tyson Fury is out of his mind again. The “Battle of Britain” against Anthony Joshua bursts because a deadline expires despite a verbal promise. Maybe it’s about the money. With Cologne’s Mahmoud Charr, a German boxer is now benefiting. He is already looking forward to his “brother”.

After the failed duel of the best British heavyweight boxers, Tyson Fury now wants to fight Mahmoud Charr. After Fury ruled out the planned fight against Anthony Joshua after a self-imposed deadline, the 37-year-old Charr is now said to be his opponent on December 3rd.

“I look forward to fighting a man who wants to fight and has fire and desire,” Fury, 34, wrote in an Instagram story. Charr had challenged Fury. “Good decision. Brother, we will give our fans the best show,” replied the Cologne native with Syrian-Lebanese roots on social media. The fight is set to take place in Manchester or Cardiff.

Despite a verbal agreement a few weeks ago, Joshua missed a deadline to sign the contract. “The day of decision has come and gone,” Fury said in a video shared on social media. It was after five o’clock on Monday and no contract had been signed. “It’s officially over for Joshua,” Fury continued. The boxer had given his rival an ultimatum, despite the verbal agreement a few weeks ago, Joshua had hesitated to sign the contract.

Fury would have received 60 percent of the exchange, Joshua should get the remaining 40 percent. Fury had recently resigned as world champion of the WBC association, but had announced that he would return to the boxing ring for a unification fight against four-time champion Oleksandr Usyk from Ukraine. Usyk had dethroned Joshua as world champion a year ago and recently won revenge.
