Oppo has clearly not lagged behind and is one of the excellent students when it comes to software updates. The Chinese brand is indeed starting to deploy ColorOS 13 based on Android 13 on two smartphones in its catalog. As expected, it is the most high-end ones that benefit first: the Oppo Find X5 Pro and Oppo Find X5.

ColorOS 13 for the Pro version lands in six countries initially, including France, Australia, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. The new software version is however limited to two countries for the classic Find X5. But good news: France is still part of it, alongside the United Arab Emirates this time.

What’s new with ColorOS 13?

The editorial Oppo Find X5 Pro, which was then based on the ColorOS 13 beta since last August, was able to download the stable version of the OS. Deployment is therefore already underway. Feel free to check for updates in your phone settings during the day or by the end of the week.

As a reminder, ColorOS 13 brings some interesting new features to its wallet. Oppo has decided to push the Monet mode – the one that draws colors from your wallpaper by applying them to the whole system – even further by offering not a palette of four colors, but of six.

The shortcuts pane has also been redesigned, in order to better highlight three main tiles: one is irremovable (the music player), the other two are customizable. Another nice new feature is the ability to automatically blur names and avatars after a screenshot on a Messenger or WhatsApp conversation.

Privacy

Always with this in mind to strengthen the security and confidentiality of users, ColorOS 13 allows you to camouflage a sensitive window in multitasking. The automatic deletion of the clipboard after a certain period of time is also part of this, thanks to Android 13.

Other small new features then concern the look of application icons and fonts (more settings in bold, size and style).

Oppo also plans to remove the charger from the boxes for “certain products”
