Community Call – How crowded are the ski areas? Send us your pictures!

Switzerland has opted for a liberal path and left the ski areas open despite the pandemic. The Swiss take advantage of this and flock to the mountains in their thousands. But what is the situation on the ground? Are the ski enthusiasts adhering to the Corona measures? We look forward to your testimonials and photos – you can contact us here:

If you want to go skiing or snowboarding in Switzerland, you don’t usually have to be vaccinated, recovered or tested. You only have to show 3G proof if you are over 16 and want to use the indoor areas of the gastronomy. Masks are compulsory in mountain railways, on ski lifts and at sales points.

There is an exception in Samnaun. The reason for this is that the neighboring Austrian ski resort of Ischgl is relying on the 2G rule (vaccinated, recovered) this winter. Because Samnaun runs the Silvretta ski area together with its neighbors, you have to have recovered or been vaccinated there this winter.
