Compagnie du Cambodge: sharp rise in profits in 2023; dividend stability

(Boursier.com) — For the 2023 financial year, the operating income of Cambodia Company shows a loss of -1.3 million euros (-1.0 ME in 2022). The financial result stood at €43.6 million, up +170% compared to the 2022 financial year. It is mainly made up of dividends received and interest income, which benefited from the rise in interest rates in 2023.

The share in the net income of non-operating equity-accounted companies stands at -0.4 ME (-1.2 ME during the 2022 financial year). This change essentially includes the increase in the contribution of the Société Industrielle et Financière de l’Artois and the decrease in the contribution of the IER Group.

The Group’s net profit is 33.3 ME (11.8 ME in 2022). The Group’s share of net income stands at €31 million (€11.3 million in 2022).

Dividend

The Management Board will propose to the General Meeting to pay a dividend of 180 euros per share representing an amount of 101 ME for the 2023 financial year, identical to that of the 2022 financial year.
