National soccer player Jonas Hofmann and his fiancée Laura Winter have to cope with a heavy blow of fate. The celebrity couple is mourning the loss of their first child. Winter announced the loss herself on her Instagram channel.

“I thought for a long time if I should say something. If I have to say something. We had to say goodbye to our little darling a few weeks ago, unexpectedly,” wrote the TV presenter. In addition, Winter and the midfielder from Bundesliga club Borussia Mönchengladbach “do not want to comment further” on the tragic event.
Hofmann and Winter have been in a relationship since 2021. They both announced their engagement last November. The journalist made Winter’s pregnancy public in March.
The 30-year-old midfielder is under contract with Borussia Mönchengladbach until 2025. He has appeared 19 times for the DFB-Elf and scored four goals. He made two appearances at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. He was not called up for the national team’s first friendlies in March.
