Sweden apparently wants to raise the terror alert level

In recent weeks, several Korans have been damaged or burned in Sweden and Denmark. This caused outrage in Islamic countries. According to a report, the Swedish secret service is now increasing the terror alert level.
After several Koran burnings, Sweden apparently fears attacks. The daily newspaper “Dagens Nyheter” reported that the Swedish secret service Säpo would raise the terror alert level to the second highest level. The increase in the rating to 4 out of 3 means that from the point of view of the secret service there is a concrete risk of an attack.
Sapo plans to hold a national security press conference later today. In the past few days, Great Britain and the United States had warned their nationals against traveling to Sweden. Attacks in Sweden are very likely, the security authorities have already foiled several attempts, said the British Foreign Office in its warning on Sunday.
In Sweden and Denmark there have been several actions in recent weeks in which the Koran has either been damaged or burned. This triggered sharp reactions in Islamic countries. Both countries had condemned the burnings, but tolerate them citing the protection of freedom of expression.
