The carnival season begins on November 11th. Before Lent begins on Wednesday, Carnival reaches its climax on Tuesday. Confetti, donuts and colorful costumes in the district capitals and towns as far as the eye can see. “The hip 70s” in Rust’s old town. For all those who decide at short notice, there will be a carnival party today at the Gasthaus Schwentenwein in Walbersdorf from 5 p.m. At the town hall square in Rust, the music club is celebrating Carnival Saturday from 1 p.m. under the motto “The hip 70s”. There is an innovation at the Jennersdorf carnival parade: a new carnival mile that starts at 2 p.m. at the outdoor pool. The state capital invites you to the carnival parade. Things are also really happening on Tuesday: numerous parades are on the program. From 2 p.m. carnival fools rule Eisenstadt’s city center. In front of Esterházy Castle you can admire the floats for an hour, get drunk on the music and fill your stomach with various delicacies. Then the foolish convoy starts towards the main square. If you haven’t had enough of the carnival afterwards, you can continue partying at the James Dean Disco Club. The Güssing carnival guild also invites you to the traditional parade from 2 p.m. in the city center. The fools are also on the loose in Oberpullendorf – the carnival parade starts at 11.45 a.m. from the Gasthof Schlögl. The hustle and bustle begins at the main square in Oberwart at 12.12 p.m. Disney magic conquers Pöttschinger carnival parade Around 100 years ago, in October 1923, the “Walt Disney Company” was founded. The Pöttschinger Musikverein is also celebrating this anniversary and turning the carnival parade into a magical event. The parade with the fairytale characters starts at 2 p.m. at the Raiffeisenbank. The fools are on the loose in Hornstein and Wiesen. There is a colorful spectacle at the carnival parade in Wiesen, where the fools cavort from 10 a.m. In Hornstein the march begins at the riding school at 1 p.m. Young and old alike can then really enjoy the end of the carnival until the evening. The Faschingsgschnas in Bad Tatzmannsdorf invites you to the perfect end. In the Tanz Café Krone the night becomes day with DJ sounds from 7.30 p.m.
