Walt Disney Animation Studios has partnered with Kugali, a pan-African entertainment company, for the mini-series Iwájú which arrives on April 3, 2024 exclusively on Disney+. The story focuses on Tola, a wealthy young girl, and her best friend Kole, a genius expert in new technologies, who will be amazed by learning some hidden secrets of the environments to which they respectively belong. A limited mini-series of only six episodes set in a futuristic Lagos. For the director, it’s about paying homage to African tales with this animated love letter which looks very promising from a visual point of view.
