Due to the current situation in the Red Sea, AIDA Cruises is forced to cancel the trans trips of AIDAbella, AIDAblu and AIDAprima in spring 2024. The safety of guests and crew is the top priority, so this cancellation is made early to ensure planning security.

Summer destinations in Europe are reached without guests

The three ships will head directly to their summer sailing areas in Europe without guests. Due to the longer route along the African coast, some individual cruises before or after the passages also have to be canceled. The journey of AIDAprima from March 31st to April 7th, 2024 will now end in Dubai instead of Abu Dhabi due to necessary timetable adjustments.

The affected guests and travel agencies with bookings for the canceled trips will be informed personally. The trips from May 26th by AIDAbella, from March 30th from AIDAblu and from May 7th. of AIDAprima will take place as planned. AIDA Cruises wants to announce changes in autumn 2024 in good time.

Refund and voucher offer

AIDA will reimburse payments made (except travel cancellation insurance) and services already booked on myAIDA according to the payment method originally selected. Alternatively, guests are offered the option of choosing another trip from the AIDA program and receiving a voucher for 10% of the previous trip price. The voucher is redeemable until December 31, 2024 and can be used for travel payment or onboard credit.
