“Convoy of freedom”: Emmanuel Macron calls for “the greatest calm”

While the demonstrators of the “freedom convoy” must converge on Paris this Saturday, February 12, Emmanuel Macron called for “the greatest calm” in an interview with Ouest-France.

If the Head of State indicated that he “heard and respected” the “fatigue” and “anger” linked to the health crisis, he also recalled that France “needed harmony, a lot of collective benevolence”. Also questioned about his candidacy for the presidential election, Emmanuel Macron explained that he wanted to formalize his choice “at the necessary time”.

“I have ambition for our country and for our Europe. And I still have the desire and the appetite to do. The official campaign starts at the beginning of March. We are now in a pre-campaign phase,” he said.
